Silver Dart Flies! (Hamilton Airport, February 6, 2009)

Start Over

First flight occurred at the Hamilton Airport on 6 February.  Some taxi tests duirng which the main wheels got airborne, back to the hangar for some calculations and Centre of Gravity adjustments and then several runs down the runway with flights of up to 3000 feet and up to 10 feet off the ground.  The Silver Dart appeared quite stable in flight.  Bjarni Tryggvason's thumbs-up says it all.

I understand that there may be a couple more flights before it is packed up for Baddeck.

It was quite a privilege to be there for this part of our celebration.
